Step One: Take a half gallon plastic bottle.
Step Two: Cut an entrance hole in it with a knife. Cut about half way up the side.
Step Three: Paint the outside a dark brown or dark green.
We painted two sides green & two sides brown. Camouflage!
Step Four: Hang the birdhouse in a tree. My husband had some wire with "S" hooks from an old bird feeder that we used. ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwMTqBxZScor-ea2plGJSXwdHLWJ2_qSWe7nwCdM7YlZjptngobHtEwOxIcPmozAp0ly8G8kjWmui0IqzUafeNlON8tz70YaNO2QfmGBT-pd3sHm3BP2L3uL6mfLGYPAgdedeJfi6t_8E1/s320/030.JPG)
The jug is light & does blow around in the wind so I suggest putting some gravel or sand in the bottom to make it more stable.
If you want a more custom look you can always glue wood sticks or bark to the outside. Have fun!
